How Rock 'n' Roll Reached 9,500 Feet

Recently, our annual gala was graced by a group of performers who traveled from the "roof" of the world: The Haiga Youth.
The School Above the Clouds
Imagine a school perched at 2,905 meters (approx. 9,500 ft) on the highest peak of Guizhou. This is Haiga Primary School, often referred to as the "School in the Clouds". For decades, this remote outpost was defined by its isolation—until music changed its heartbeat.
In 2017, teacher Gu Ya arrived at Haiga, bringing with him something more powerful than textbooks: Rock 'n' Roll. By introducing guitars and drums to the curriculum, he didn't just teach notes; he gave these children a voice. Today, the Haiga Youth are a symbol of resilience, proving that even in the most remote corners, a passion for music can create a powerful echo.
More Than Technology: A Brand's Silent Tradition
Whenever a new Enya smart instrument is ready for release, a selection of the first completed units is prepared for a special journey. Instead of heading straight to a showroom, these instruments are sent to the mountains and placed directly into the hands of the children at Haiga.
We believe that students in remote regions should have the opportunity to explore music using the same modern tools available to players anywhere else. By placing these instruments in their hands, we hope to bridge the distance between their mountain home and the wider world, allowing their songs to carry far beyond the peaks.
"Stars and Beyond": Designing for a Cause
To celebrate this journey, we recently unveiled the #Inspire Haiga Charity Edition. While this special model is available exclusively in Mainland China, its story belongs to the world.
This instrument was born from the children's own imagination. The artwork on the body was inspired by the children's own drawings—vibrant swirls, stars, and celestial dreams.
All proceeds from the sale of these guitars are donated directly to Haiga Primary School. These funds are dedicated to essential initiatives: providing financial aid for underprivileged students, improving campus infrastructure, and providing the Haiga Youth bands with the equipment and professional support they need to grow.
From the Peaks to the Gala Stage
At our latest gala, Mr. Gu Ya and the Haiga Youth took the stage, holding the instruments their own art helped inspire. Watching their confidence under the lights was a reminder that music is a universal language that bridges any divide. It was a warm witness to the power of passion and the beauty of giving back.
